Heritage Days Celebration April 28-May 29

Heritage Days of Mendocino County was started in 2003 as a Mendocino Village-only event. Now in the 8th year, Heritage Days activities have been added all across Mendocino County and Fort Bragg is a big part of the celebration.
For the next 30 days, tourists and locals will attend lectures, participate in walking tours, watch demonstrations and view exhibits in recognition of Fort Bragg’s rich history, including our Native American history.

Salmon Fishing On The Trek II




Salmon fishing is back on! We are all too excited for this years salmon season and what it may bring. Book your trip today with Trek II...


Fully licensed, professional, and experienced crew.
Trips are from 7-12 seven days a week during the season and 1-6 seven days a week May through September weather permitting.
A full boat is normally 20 people to make the trip more enjoyable for everyone even though the Trek II is the biggest charter boat in the harbor.
Complete supply of safety equipment and life jackets including children's life jackets.
Large clean restroom.
Large heated cabin.
Plenty of free parking.
Because of the high speed of the Trek II running times average 5 to 45 minutes.


"Salmon Fishing was great on Saturday, 4/23. We caught 8 fish for 7 people ranging from 12 to 20 pounds. We also caught 32 crab."

John Druecker Memorial Show and Plant Sale





The 34th Annual John Druecker Memorial Rhododendron Show & Plant Sale will be held at Dana Gray Elementary School, 1197 Chestnut Street, Fort Bragg, California, on April 30 & May 1, 2011. "Oldies But Goodies" is this year's theme.
This is one of the largest on the west coast with over 700 entries including rhododendron flowers, pictures, bonsai and arrangements. Entries may be brought to the cafeteria on April 30 between 7:00 and 9:00 am. Selections are awarded ribbons by judges from outside the area between 9:00 and 1:30. The show then opens to the public until 5:00 on Saturday, and from 10:00 to 3:30 on Sunday.

Additionally there will be a beautiful garden scene, an ongoing raffle, refreshments, educational displays and more!
Admission is free to this truly worthwhile event.
