Local Whale Festival Celebration

From the middle of December until April, gray whales migrate along the Mendocino Coast as they pass directly behind the Beachcomber Motel. Our guests have the most spectacular view of the whales passing by from our ocean view balconies, patios, and decks. Throughout the months of December and January the whales migrate south passing directly by The Beachcomber, where you can see them right from our ocean view rooms and lobby. After migrating south from the Bering Sea to the warm lagoons of Baja California they return to the Bering Sea during February, March, and April. One of the most favorite whale watching places is the Coastal Trail that leads to Mackerricher State Park which is located directly behind The Beachcomber Motel. Other favorite whale watching places like Pomo Bluffs are only a couple miles from where we are located. The 2009 Whale Festival is set for March 7-8 for Mendocino activities and March 21-22 for Fort Bragg fabulous and fun activities. Come join us during the local whale festivals and reserve a room with a perfect whale watching view at The Beachcomber Motel on the beach in Fort Bragg.
