Halloween Festival at Botanical Gardens

October 24, 2009 there will be a Halloween Festival at The Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden's. It starts at noon and if you show up in your costume you get in free so be sure to wear your Halloween costumes. There will be snacks, exciting games, pumpkin carving, and much more. Wine & Mushroom Train

On November 7, 2009, The Skunk Train will host the Wine and Mushroom Train for the F.R. Howard Hospital Foundation. Chef/Author Jack Czarnecki and Mushroom expert Eric Schramm will be among the attendees. The Skunk Train leaves from Willits at 10:00a.m. and stops in the majestic redwood setting of Camp Mendocino for lunch catered by Debra Dawson's Good Thyme Catering and returns to Willits at 5:00p.m. Proceeds will go directly to the Hospital Building Fund.

Rendezvous Inn's "Tastes of Early Fall and Local Wines"

Rendezvous Inn has a three course fall tasting menu paired with optional local wines by glass. The fabulous menu includes oven roasted essence of heirloom tomatoes, butter poached sable fish on a friture of leeks and shallots with a Daube style sauce, and juniper berry sauced grilled medallions of venison on braised red cabbage.
